The Promised Neverland Gets Live Action Movie Adaptation!

Popular manga The Promised Neverland will be heading to the big screen in 2020 with a live action movie adaptation!

The movie will shift the ages of the protagonists from 12 to 16 and is directed by Hirakawa Yuichirou with a script by Gotou Noriko.

So far, cast members for the three protagonists have been announced: Hamabe Minami as Emma, Kairi Jyo as Ray, and Itagaki Rihito as Norman.

Written by Shirai Kaiu and illustrated by Demizu Posuka, the original manga has been running in Shonen Jump since August 2016. The series follows orphans Emma and Norman who live with 36 other children at Grace Field House as they discover a terrible secret after venturing somewhere they were not supposed to go.

The Promised Neverland will open at cinemas across Japan in winter 2020.
